I am new to website building, but it has come to my attention that I have a virus with joomla. I had not yet taken measures to heighten my security for my website before putting it online. Is there a way i can do a virus scan for my website and erase the threat? Is there a program for that? I do not want to rebuild it from scratch.

Depending upon which program you loaded the website with like FTP or Dream Weaver…you can always click on each individual item..and then right click scan with your current AV product on the computer….that is called a custom scan…most AV products have that………Also you will have to invest in a commercial AV product like Norton..etc…to protect the Website from infecting other computers….do a search for this >>>
Website AV products for my Commercial Website…..once you find a AV product…it will come with an Icon..this Website protected by ________ security……that will be the customers reasurance that your website is virus free or at least has some type of protection built in to the URL…..
